Md Mominul Islam is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the College of Business Administration, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT). Previously, he served as a faculty member at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and Darul Ihsan University. He also worked in the housekeeping services department at Scandic Hotels in Sweden. Notably, he collaborates closely with the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry on fostering the halal economy and halal certification. He obtained his PhD from the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, under the prestigious Graduate Scholarship. He also earned an MSc in Business and Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences under a Swedish government scholarship, as well as an MBA and BBA in Marketing from the University of Rajshahi. His research interests include Islamic marketing, Islamic entrepreneurship, halal certification, sustainable marketing, halal cosmetics, spiritual and halal tourism, halal supply chain management, and marketing pedagogies. His scholarly works have been published in the Journal of Islamic MarketingInternational Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business ResearchInternational Journal of Islamic Marketing and BrandingInternational Journal of Religious Tourism and PilgrimageInternational Journal of Internet Marketing and AdvertisingInternational Journal of Hospitality and Event Management, as well as by Springer, IGI Global, Emerald and Edward Elgar Publishing, USA. Md Mominul Islam was also the recipient of The Bangladesh Education Leadership Awards 2017.
