Dr. Sheikh Shamim Hasnain is a Professor at the College of Business Administration (CBA) of the IUBAT- International University of Business, Agriculture, & Technology. Dr. Hasnain has taught Business and Management modules in numerous universities and institutions, which include The British University in Egypt, University of Bedfordshire (UK), Anglia Ruskin University (UK), Aberystwyth University (UK), Cardiff Met University (LSC), London Churchill College (UK), American Liberty University in UK and International Islamic University (Bangladesh). Dr Hasnain has 24+ years teaching experience at the Higher Education (HE) Sector at the various countries of the World. He has the Fellowship (FHEA) of Higher Education Academy, UK and World Business Institute (WBI), Australia. He could achieve the best teaching award in 2016. In addition to teaching, Prof Hasnain has also worked as an Academic Consultant at the Bedfordshire University (UK). Prof. Hasnain has the experience of working as the Academic Programme Manager and Leader at various HE institutions in the UK. He has authored a text book entitled “Knowledge Management in Non-Governmental Organisation: Towards a New Horizon” that addresses contemporary issues on Knowledge Management. In addition to a text book, a book chapter and various conference papers, Prof Hasnain has published many double blind peer reviewed research journal articles on Knowledge Management, NGOs, Supply Chain/Logistics and Military areas. Prof Hasnain is a multidisciplinary scholar who is also an editorial member and reviewer of various journals including Journal of Global Information Management (JGIM), Frontiers of Psychology, Journal of Contemporary Development & Management Studies, World Journal of Management, World Review of Business Research, World Journal of Social Science, Journal of Business and Policy Research, International Review of Business Research, Knowledge Management Research and Practice and Review of Applied Management. Prof Hasnain works as a Director of Studies (Research) for LSC (Cardiff Met University). He has the experience of examining many MSc Dissertations/Projects on Business and Management at various universities. Three of his research students could successfully complete the Ph.D. Programme under his supervision at the Cardiff Met University, UK. He is an External Ph.D. Examiner at the Curtin University, Australia. Before joining the academic world, Dr Hasnain was a regular commissioned military officer and retired voluntarily from the service as a Major with a view to pursuing higher education and research. He served in various military units and establishments in the Bangladesh Army and has also the experience of working at the United Nations (UN) as a peace-keeper.
